Expert in organizational development with emphasis on participatory planning, he has worked in Germany and several Latin American countries. Some of his most notable activities include strategic consultancy for the German Technical Cooperation Agency GIZ and his work as advisor for the development of the National Vocational Training System in Panama (he was decorated by the Panamanian State), in the Chamber of the Transformation Industry of Mexico; processes to reach consensus on a proposal for an Environmental Law between the public and private sector in Mexico with the Business Coordinating Council (CCE) and Costa Rica; bilateral negotiation processes in Cuba, Panama and Mexico; the strategic planning of the National Sports Institute in Chile; the Faculty of Medicine of the Universidad de Santiago in Chile, and the development of the energy roadmap for the Aysén Region.
He has taught courses and advised on organizational development, negotiations, consensus building among public, private and civil society actors in Chile (PRODES), Costa Rica (CICR; CYMA), Germany (GTZ, DSE / INWENT), Mexico (Ministry of Economy, ANTAD business association) and the German Cooperation Agency GIZ. He has carried out organizational diagnostics and strategic planning for the Undersecretary of Public Health of the Ministry of Health and for the Ministry of Labor and Social Security of Chile. He has conducted workshops on leadership, training and strategic planning for Codelco, Fundación Chile, the Undersecretary of Regional Development, and the Regional Government in the regions of Los Ríos and Los Lagos, Chile.
He is one of the pioneers in participatory planning in Chile. Social Scientist and PhD in Philosophy from the University of Duisburg, Germany. He has taught courses on planning methodologies, organization, monitoring and evaluation of projects at the Universities of Chile, Duisburg, Düsseldorf and Free University of Berlin, among others.
